Trivia
- The film was an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play "The Comedy of Errors". However, while the play featured two pairs of twins, this film featured only one pair, played by Tanuja. There have been two other Hindi film adaptations of "The Comedy of Errors" - "Do Dooni Chaar" (1968) and "Angoor" (1982). Interestingly, both of them featured the lead actors of this film but in different roles - Tanuja played the romantic interest of one of the twins in "Do Dooni Chaar" (1968) and Sanjeev Kumar played the role of the twins in "Angoor" (1982).[1][2]
