Trivia

    Album

  • While the film wasn't autobiographical, according to Mahesh Bhatt it was inspired by his relationship with his stepmother.[1]
  • Work on the film was originally scheduled to start in May 2014. It was later postponed to October since Emran Hashmi had to travel to Canada for the treatment of his ailing son.[2]
  • This was the first film in which lyricist Virag Mishra took on the stage name of Rashmi Virag. In an interview, he stated that he had used his wife's name, Rashmi Singh, for a few films since he had a corporate job at the time and did not think it was appropriate to be seen as doing other work. Mishra had worked in the industry for many years but met with limited success. When the popularity of the song "Muskurane Ki Wajah Tum Ho" ("Citylights", 2014) credited to Rashmi Singh revived his flagging career, he decided to use the stage name Rashmi Virag to recognize his wife's contributions specifically and as a symbol of women's empowerment in general.[3][4]

    Song
