Trivia

    Album

  • Prakash Mehra wanted to cast Feroz Khan in this film but had to do without him since the actor refused to work on Sundays.
  • Vinod Khanna agreed to work in this film on the condition that he would be paid Rs. 1 lakh more than his co-star Amitabh Bachchan's fee of Rs. 1.5 lakhs.[1]
  • Mallika Sarabhai was paired with Vinod Khanna in this film and had even started shooting for it. However, she was replaced by Sulakshana Pandit due to a difference of opinion with director Prakash Mehra.

    Song

  • Mujhe Pyar Mein Khat Kisi Ne Likha Hai - This song was initially recorded in Sulakshana Pandit's voice. However, the label Polydor insisted that the song be re-recorded in a more well-known singer's voice. Kalyanji - Anandji then recorded the song in Asha Bhosle's voice. When Prakash Mehra wanted to replace Mallika Sarabhai in this film, he decided to cast Sulakshana Pandit whom he had seen when she had recorded this song. Thus, the song in which Sulakshana Pandit's voice was discarded came to be filmed on her. [2]
  • Barson Purana Ye Yarana - Kalyanji - Anandji may have adapted the tune of this song for the song "Jab Jab Teri Surat Dekhoon" ("Janbaaz", 1986).[3]
