Trivia

    Album

  • This was the acting debut of Dev Anand, Rehana and Guru Dutt.
  • Dev Anand and Guru Dutt met during the making of this film. Dev Anand played the lead role and Guru Dutt had a supporting role in the film. Legend has it that the two met when the dhobi working for Prabhat Studios mixed up their shirts. Even before their careers had taken off, the two young men made a pact that if Guru Dutt made a movie, Dev Anand would star in it and if Dev Anand made a movie, Guru Dutt would direct it. At least one part of the pact was realized when Dev Anand acted in Guru Dutt's directorial debut, "Baazi" (1951).[1][2]
