Trivia

    Album

  • This was art director Desh Mukherjee's only film as a director. While this film failed, he was well-regarded for his work as an art director in films like "Teesri Kasam" (1966) and "Deewaar" (1975). He started work on his next film as a director, "Aatank" (1996), after this film but it remained incomplete. The film was eventually bought, wrapped up shoddily and released by Prem Lalwani in 1996.[1][2][3][4]
  • Film producers and brothers Tony and Tito had given director Desh Mukherjee a car as a signing bonus during the making of this film. The bonus may have been for the film titled "Aatank", an adaptation of "Jaws" (1976). However, when this film failed, the brothers had second thoughts and took back the car from Mukherjee.[5][6]
