Trivia

    Album

  • This film was an uncredited remake of the Kannada film, "Bandha Muktha" (1987).[1]
  • The producer of this film, Ramesh Behl, had passed away in 1990, when the film was still in production. His family had pitched in to take the film to completion. The Behl family's banner Rose Movies had practically shut down after this film, but re-emerged many years later with the film "Drona" (2008).[2]

    Song

  • Main Na Jhooth Boloon - The tune of this song was plagiarised from the Balochi song "Dilan Teer Bija" sung by Shabana Noshi and composed by Zahoor Khan Zaibi. The Balochi song was released in 1987 as a tribute to Benazir Bhutto and the Pakistan People's Party. This song was also plagiarised for another Hindi film song, "Mile Jo Dil Se Dil" ("Aman Ke Farishtey", 2003).[3][4]
  • Reshmi Zulfein Nashili Aankhen - The tune of the horn section in this song was used again in the horn section of the song "Mera Yaar Aa Gaya Hai" ("Yaar Gaddar", 1994).[5]
