Trivia

    Album

  • This was Sadhana's comeback film after she took a prolonged break to visit Boston, USA to treat her thyroid disorder.[1]
  • This was the second of the two films Sadhana did with director R.K. Nayyar. They had started their careers together with "Love In Simla" (1960), had fallen in love during its making, and had gotten married in 1966.[2]
  • The film appears to be an uncredited adaptation of the American play "Within the Law". The play was written by Bayard Veiller and premiered in 1912. It was adapted for several other films including "Paid" (1930) starring Joan Crawford. The Hindi film itself was remade in Telugu as "Pagabattina Paduchu" (1971) and in Marathi as "Naav Motha Lakshan Khota" (1977).

    Song

  • Aa Jaane Jaan - This song was conceptualized by the noted choreographer P.L. Raj. He even lent his voice to the song. The voice of the "beast" in the cage, played by Azad, was his.[3]
  • Aa Jaane Jaan - The flute in this song was played by Manohari Singh.[4]
  • Aa Jaane Jaan - The song was recreated by Pritam for the film "Hello Darling" (2010).[5]
