Trivia

    Album

  • This film was part of Akshay Kumar's "Khiladi" franchise. The other films in this series were "Khiladi" (1992), "Main Khiladi Tu Anari" (1994), "Sabse Bada Khiladi" (1995), "Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi" (1996), "Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi" (1997), "Khiladi 420" (2000) and "Khiladi 786" (2012).[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
  • Akshay Kumar developed a crush on Twinkle Khanna when he met her for the first time at a Filmfare photo shoot. This was one of the two films they worked on while they were dating. The other film was "Zulmi" (1999). When Akshay Kumar proposed to Twinkle, she said that she would marry him only if her next film, "Mela" (2000), failed at the box-office. As it turned out, "Mela" was a flop and the couple got married in 2001.[8][9][10]
  • This was the only Hindi film for which novelist Ved Prakash Sharma wrote the script and dialogues. His novels had been adapted earlier for other Hindi films, including a film of the "Khiladi" franchise, "Sabse Bada Khiladi" (1995).[11]
