- Director Rahul Rawail chose this film's title as a homage to his father H.S. Rawail who directed the film "Sunghursh" (1968) starring Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala.[1]

- Husn Ki Malika Main (Dede Mera Dede Tu Bees Rupaiya) - The song's theme of the film's hero pursuing the heroine to recover money from her was inspired by the Hindi film song "Main Sitaron Ka Tarana" ("Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi", 1958). The song "Baarah Aana De" ("Insaaf - The Final Justice", 1997) also had the same theme.[2][3]
