Trivia

    Album

  • This was actress Bindiya Goswami's debut Hindi film. Her lines in this film were dubbed by Asha Parekh.
  • This was a remake of the Telugu film "Mutyala Muggu" (1975) which won public and critical acclaim. Director Bapu's "Mutyala Muggu" (1975) itself was adapted from the Uttara Kanda of Ramayana. On the request of Bapu, the Hindi film music director Sajjad Hussain came out of retirement to compose the background score for the Telugu film. He even played the mandolin used extensively in the score.
  • Bindiya Goswami gifted a bracelet she wore in this film to her daughter Nidhi Dutta, which she wore in her debut film "Jee Bhar Ke Jee Le".[1]
  • This was the only film in which Salil Chowdhury worked with lyricist Anand Bakshi.
