Trivia

    Album

  • This was actress Raakhee's debut Hindi film. She was offered the female lead role in "Ittefaq" (1969) but had to decline it since she was under contract with Rajshri Films for this film.[1]
  • This was a remake of the Bengali film "Jiban Mrityu" (1967) starring Uttam Kumar and Supriya Choudhury. The Bengali film itself may have been inspired by the novel "The Count of Monte Cristo" (1844) by the French author Alexandre Dumas.

    Song

  • Zamane Mein Aji Aise Koi Naadaan Hote Hain - This song drew inspiration from Hansraj Behl's "Dil-E-Nashad Ko Jeene Ki Hasrat Ho Gayi Tumse" ("Chunaria", 1948). Both songs were sung by Lata Mangeshkar.[2]
