Trivia
- This was actor Ashok Kumar's debut Hindi film. He was a shy and awkward man and wasn't really keen on taking up acting as a career. It was producer Himanshu Rai who convinced him to sign up for this film. Apparently, Rai was insecure about his marriage with actress Devika Rani, who had briefly eloped with another actor earlier. He believed that his wife would be safe with the naive Ashok Kumar as her co-star.[1]

- Koi Humdam Na Raha Koi Sahara Na Raha - In his debut film as a music director, "Jhumroo" (1961), Kishore Kumar borrowed the music of this Saraswati Devi song, sung by his brother Ashok Kumar. While the antara of Kishore Kumar's song were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri, the mukhda were a direct lift of J.S. Casshyap's lyrics in this song.[2]
