Trivia

    Album

  • Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" (2017) and Salman Khan's "Sultan" (2016) were originally scheduled to be released in July 2016 on the day of Eid. Eventually, however, "Raees" (2017) was postponed and "Sultan" (2016) was released as planned. The change in plan resulted in "Raees" (2017) clashing with this film instead - both films ended up being released on January 25, 2017. This created bad blood between Shah Rukh and the Roshan family. It was reported that Rakesh Roshan, who produced this film, was unhappy about the clash and felt that it could have been avoided if the makers of "Raees" (2017) had planned better. Roshan was also unhappy with the number of theatres his film was released in. He said that there was an unwritten agreement in place to ensure that the two films were released on the same number of screens. He claimed, however, that the distributors had gone back on their word and changed the split to 60:40 in favour of "Raees" (2017).[1][2][3][4][5][6]
  • While the film was certified and released in January 2017, its music was released in December 2016.
  • The film featured recreated versions of two songs composed by Rajesh Roshan in addition to original songs recorded by him. The film was produced by his brother Rakesh Roshan and featured his nephew Hrithik Roshan in the lead role.
  • This was the first Hindi film in which brothers Ronit and Rohit Roy worked together.

    Song

  • Saara Zamana Haseenon Ka Deewana - The song was a recreated version of a hit song composed by Rajesh Roshan for the film "Yaarana" (1981). It featured a few new lines composed by Gourov - Roshin and written by Kumaar. The original song was written by Anjaan and sung by Kishore Kumar.[7]
  • Saara Zamana Haseenon Ka Deewana - Urvashi Rautela made a cameo appearance in the film for this song.
  • Dil Kya Kare Jab Kisi Se Kisi Ko Pyar Ho Jaye - This was a recreated version of Rajesh Roshan's song from the film "Julie" (1975). It used a portion of the original song's mukhda for its hook line. The rest of the song was newly written. The 1975 song was written by Anand Bakshi and sung by Kishore Kumar.[8]
