- This film was completed in 2013. Its music was released in January 2013 and it was shown in various film festivals but it could not get a theatrical release due to various reasons. Producers' associations considered the film's title provocative and refused to register it. It was also reported that the Censor Board had conveyed to the filmmakers that they had found the political commentary in the film objectionable. The film was eventually released on YouTube in April 2016. The film opened with the following disclaimer about its title - "In the context of this motion picture, Kaafir denotes impurity (state of impurity) & Namaaz denotes purity (state of purity). Kaafiron Ki Namaaz symbolizes the transformation of its characters from a state of impurity to a state of purity. The title is purely metaphorical.".[1]
