Trivia

    Album

  • This was the first film produced by Mahesh Bhatt's production house, Vishesh Films. It was his only film in which his father Nanabhai Bhatt was credited as the producer.
  • This film was adapted from the Hollywood classic "On the Waterfront" (1954) starring Marlon Brando. Years later Vishesh Films would make another film based on "On The Waterfront" (1954) - "Ghulam" (1998). The story of the Hindi film "Baarish" (1957) was also inspired by "On The Waterfront" (1954).[1][2]
