Trivia

    Album

  • This was the first film produced by Shatrughan Sinha's production house Ramayana Chitra. Shatrughan Sinha's secretary Pawan Kumar and his cousin Yogee were credited as the film's producers. It was the first of the many Ramayana Chitra films for which Pawan Kumar was credited as the producer. Kumar, who was also Amitabh Bachchan's secretary for some time, had earlier co-produced the film "Abhimaan" (1973), starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri.[1]
  • The Telugu film "Mosagadu" (1980) was an adaptation of this film.
  • This film gave Shatrughan Sinha the opportunity to work with Raj Kapoor, whom he considered his greatest inspiration. This was their only film together.
  • The film did not do well upon release. Subhash Ghai, who co-wrote the story with B.B. Bhalla, was convinced that his story could not go wrong and, with the consent of the producers and director Dulal Guha, stepped in to salvage the film. Ghai's intervention failed, and the film flopped.[2]
  • This was one of the three films in which Subhash Ghai and Bharat B. Bhalla collaborated as story writers. The other two films were "Kalicharan" (1976) and "Aakhri Daku" (1978). They also wrote the script for the film "Bagula Bhagat" (1978).[3][4][5]

    Song

  • Har Saal Humne To Suna Charcha / Der Hai Andher Nahin Pyare - This song was released in two parts in some versions of the film's audio records.
