Trivia

    Album

  • The film was based on Gulshan Nanda's novel "Patthar Ke Honth". The same novel was also adapted for the Telugu film "Punarjanma" (1963) starring A. Nageswara Rao and the Tamil film "Engirundho Vandhaal" (1970) starring Sivaji Ganesan.
  • Shatrughan Sinha and Mumtaz were so close in the early 1970s that there were rumours of them being in a romantic relationship. In his biography, Sinha claimed that their relationship was strictly platonic. According to him, this was one of the four films he got on Mumtaz's recommendation, the other films being "Shararat" (1971), "Pyar Ka Rishta" (1973), and "Naami Chor" (1977).[1][2][3][MR35]
  • Jeetendra had a small role in the film but was not credited for it.

    Song
