Trivia

    Album

  • Sanjay Dutt was initially the choice for the role that was eventually played by Nagarjuna in this film. He had even shot a few scenes for it but apparently decided to drop out because of the controversy of the clash between the two songs with similar tunes in films starring Amitabh Bachchan - "Jumma Chumma De De" ("Hum", 1991) - and Sanjay Dutt - "Tamma Tamma Loge" ("Thanedaar", 1990).[1][2][MR12]
  • This was the last of the three films directed by Mukul S. Anand and starring Amitabh Bachchan. All three films featured Danny Denzongpa and had Laxmikant - Pyarelal's music and Anand Bakshi's lyrics. The other films in this series were - "Agneepath" (1990) and "Hum" (1991).[3][4]
  • According to the Limca Book of Records, this was the first film to use surround sound technique.
  • Amitabh Bachchan took a break from acting after this film. He returned to acting 5 years later in his home production film "Mrityudaata" (1997).[5]
