Trivia

    Album

  • Ram Sampath had sued the makers of this film for using an ad jingle composed by him to form the hook of two songs in the film - the title song and "Break Free". Ram Sampath had composed the jingle, titled "The Thump", for an ad for Sony Ericsson which featured Hrithik Roshan, who also happened to be the hero in this film. The producers had claimed that they had gotten permission from Sony Ericsson, who had denied owning the copyright for the jingle. Eventually, the court ordered the Roshans to pay up Rs. 2 crores to Ram Sampath.[1][2][3][4]
  • This was the directorial debut of Jaideep Sen. He was commonly known as Raja Sen in the film industry and he was even credited with this name in "Dillagi" (1999). However, when the film didn't work, he had himself credited as Jaideep Sen in "Koi... Mil Gaya" (2003). The film worked and he decided to stick with this name in his debut film as director.[5]
  • This film appears to be inspired by the Malayalam film "Mookilla Rajyathu" (1991), which itself may have been inspired by the Hollywood film "The Dream Team" (1989).
