  • This film was set in a palace called Giri Vilas in Darjeeling, West Bengal. The film's popularity resulted in the palace being called by the film's title. The palace, which once belonged to the royal family of the erstwhile princely state of Cooch Behar, became a popular shooting location for films. It later became the seat of the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council.[1]
