Trivia
- This was Anu Menon's directorial debut.
- While a couple of his songs had featured in Hindi films before, this was Ali Zafar's first full-fledged Hindi film album as a music director and lyricist.
- This was Aditi Rao Hydari's debut Hindi film as a playback singer. She also played the female lead in the film.
- The film was inspired by Richard Linklater's "Before" romantic drama film series starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. At the time this film was made, two films of the "Before" series had been released - "Before Sunrise" (1989) and "Before Sunset" (2004). The series' last film "Before Midnight" (2013) was released a year later.
