  • The country of Japan was listed as a cast member in the opening credits of this film.
  • The success of Joy Mukherjee's debut film, "Love in Simla" (1960), spawned a series of "Love In..." films with him in the lead role. This film was the second in the series and was followed by "Love In Bombay" (1974).[1][2]
  • The style of hairbands Asha Parekh wore in this film became so popular that they came to be known by the title of the film.

  • O Mere Shah-E-Khuban (Male) - Hasrat Jaipuri adapted a couplet by Momin Khan 'Momin' for the mukhda of this song - "Tum mere paas hote ho goya / Koi doosra nahin hota".
  • Sayonara Sayonara Vaada Nibhaoongi Sayonara - The tune of the song's opening line was taken from the chorus of a light classical music piece called "In a Persian Market", composed by Albert Ketelbey in 1920.[3]
