Trivia

    Album

  • The film was initially scheduled to be released in January 2020. The release date was then pushed to March and later to April 2020. However, the film did not get a theatrical release due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and was released on Netflix in November 2020.[1][2][3]
  • This film prominently featured the Hindi film song "Kismat Ki Hawa Kabhi Naram Kabhi Garam (O Beta Ji)" ("Albela", 1951). The original song was sung and composed by C. Ramchandra and written by Rajendra Krishan.[4]
  • Anurag Basu was criticised on social media for a scene in the film that was deemed Hinduphobic. The scene in question showed a parodied enactment of the Ramleela.[5]

    Song

  • Hardum Humdum (Yeh Lee Hai Meri Aankhon Ne Kasam Ae Yaar) - Pritam had composed the tune of this song for Anurag Basu's sequel to "Life In A Metro" (2007). However, the film never materialised and the tune remained unused. Pritam and Basu finally decided to use the composition for this song. It was rumoured at one point that this film was a sequel to "Life In A Metro" (2007) but Basu clarified that that was not the case.[6][7][8][9]
