Trivia

    Album

  • After failing as an actor early on in his career, Mukesh attempted to re-launch himself as an actor in this film and almost ended up destroying his career as a playback singer. His contract for this film specified that he could not sing for any film till it was released. Since the film's release was delayed, Mukesh remained out of circulation for many months. This was also a period in which he pursued a career in acting very seriously. Acting offers were hard to come by and by the time he gave up on his acting career, even singing offers were scarce. A few hit songs in the late 50s like "Suhana Safar Aur Yeh Mausam Hasin" ("Madhumati", 1958) and "Aansoo Bhari Hai Yeh Jeevan Ki Raahen" ("Parvarish", 1958) - eventually revived his sagging playback singing career. Mukesh made another attempt at acting in a film he produced himself, "Anuraag" (1956) but the film was never released and his aspirations of an acting career remained unfulfilled.[1][2][3][MR3]

    Song

  • Yeh Samaa Hum Tum Jawan - Kishore Kumar reused his yodelling in this song in a Hindi film song he composed, wrote and sang a few years later, "Main Hoon Jhum Jhum Jhum Jhum Jhumroo" ("Jhumroo", 1961).[4]
