Trivia

    Album

  • This film was a remake of the Telugu film "Chuttalunnaru Jagratha" (1980) starring Krishna. The Telugu film was also remade in Tamil as "Pokkiri Raja" (1982) starring Rajinikanth.

    Song

  • Ui Amma Ui Amma - Bappi Lahiri may have adapted the tune of the mukhda of this song for the song "Kasam Se Kasam Se" ("Do Aankhen Barah Hath", 1997). The mukhda of another Hindi film song, "Ooh La La" ("The Dirty Picture", 2011), composed by Vishal - Shekhar, also bore similarities with this song. Saregama, the label that issued this film album, sued the producers of "The Dirty Picture" (2011), Balaji Telefilms, for copyright infringement and sought Rs. 100 crores in damages. Bappi Lahiri, who sang "Ooh La La" ("The Dirty Picture", 2011) with Shreya Ghoshal, defended Vishal - Shekhar and Balaji Telefilms and issued a statement to the effect that the two songs were independent and distinct.[1][2][3]
