Trivia

    Song

  • Tasveer Teri Dil Mein - According to Salil Chowdhury, it took more than a dozen takes to record this song since Mohammed Rafi was having a difficult time with the scale changes in it.[1]
  • Tasveer Teri Dil Mein - Salil Chowdhury had used the tune of this song earlier for the Bengali non-film song "Ogo Aar Kichhu To Naai" (1960) sung by Lata Mangeshkar.[2]
  • Ja Re Ja Re Ud Ja Re Panchhi - Manohari Singh was supposed to play only the saxophone in this song. However, when the musician who was to play the flute in the song's opening did not show up for the recording, Salil Chowdhury asked Singh to play the flute as well. After playing the flute, he had to quickly switch positions and instruments to play the extended saxophone solo in the song.
  • Ja Re Ja Re Ud Ja Re Panchhi - Salil Chowdhury had used the tune of this song earlier for the Bengali non-film song "Ja Re Ja Re Ude Ja Re Pakhi" (1959) sung by Lata Mangeshkar.[3]
  • Zindagi Hai Kya Sun Meri Jaan - The tune of this song was inspired by the theme of the film "Limelight" (1952), composed by Charlie Chaplin. A few other Hindi film songs were based on the same theme - "Sun Mere Munne Aa" ("Jyoti", 1969), "Tum Meri Zindagi Mein" ("Bombay To Goa", 1972), "Main To Chala Pee Kar" ("Mukti", 1977), and "Yeh Raat Yeh Tanhaiyan" ("Gunaah", 1993).[4][5][6][7][8]
