Trivia

    Album

  • This was an uncredited adaptation of the Hollywood film "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town" (1936).
  • This was Raj Khosla's directorial debut. Many of its cast and crew were carried over from the film "Jaal" (1952) in which Khosla was an assistant director and also had an acting role. These cast and crew members included producer T.R. Fatehchand, actors Dev Anand, Geeta Bali and K.N. Singh, music director N. Dutta, who was an assistant to S.D. Burman in "Jaal" (1952), and lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi.[1]
  • This was music director Datta Naik aka N. Dutta's first Hindi film. It marked the beginning of his partnership with lyricist Sahir Ludhiavi, who became a cornerstone of his film career.[MR6]

    Song

  • Jate Ho To Jao Par Jaoge Kahan - Majrooh Sultanpuri took the first line of the mukhda of the song "Aaye Hain Door Se Milne Huzoor Se" ("Tumsa Nahin Dekha", 1957) from the first antara of this song.[2]
