  • This film established Raveena Tandon as a star after a series of flops. The film came her way after the accidental death of the film's original heroine, Divya Bharti.[1]

  • Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast - This hit song was based on Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's qawwali "Dum Mast Kalandar Mast Mast".[2]
  • Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast - Singer Sapna Mukherjee was music director Viju Shah's original choice for this song. However, he used Kavita Krishnamurthy's voice eventually on director Rajiv Rai's insistence.[3]
  • Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast - This song was re-created by Tanishq Bagchi for the film "Machine" (2017).[4]
  • Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast - Raveena Tandon couldn't handle Mumbai's heat and fainted during the shooting of this song. Director Rajiv Rai offered to re-schedule the shoot but Raveena was back in action in half an hour.[5]
  • Naa Kajare Ki Dhaar - This song was originally composed by Kalyanji - Anandji and sung by Mukesh but was never released. Kalyanji's son Viju Shah took the tune and used it in this film.[6]
