Trivia

    Album

  • Real-life uncle and nephew Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor played uncle and nephew in the film as well. This was their first film together. Anil Kapoor's younger brother Sanjay Kapoor made a cameo appearance in the film as his elder brother.
  • Amrita Singh had been the first choice to play the role of the mother of Arjun Kapoor's character in this film. After "2 States" (2014), this would have been their second film together playing mother and son onscreen. However, Singh backed out at the last minute, reportedly due to scheduling issues, and Ratna Pathak Shah was brought in to replace her.[1][2]

    Song

  • Mubarakan (Title Track) - While the song was original, it sampled music and vocals from the Hindi film song "Yamma Yamma" ("Shaan", 1980) composed by R.D. Burman. Burman was listed in the film's opening credits but the song credits did not mention him or "Yamma Yamma" ("Shaan", 1980).[3]
  • Hawa Hawa - The tune and lyrics of the song's hook line were adapted from a hit song by the Pakistani artist Hassan Jahangir. However, Jahangir was not officially credited for it. The Pakistani artist's son itself was an uncredited adaptation of "Havar Havar" by Iranian singer Kourosh Yaghmaei.[4]
  • Dil Dhadke Louder Louder (Baari Barsi Khatan Gaya Si) - Director Anees Bazmee reportedly turned choreographer for this song.[5]
