This was a docudrama depicting the life of the celebrated artist M.F. Hussain. Actor Jatin Sharma played the artist in scenes re-enacting his life. The film included footage of Hussain's interviews and testimonials of artists like S.H. Raza, Krishen Khanna, and Jatin Das.
This was producer Barkhaa Roy's first film in almost three decades. She also featured in the film as a narrator. Roy is best known for producing the film "Sanam Teri Kasam" (1982) featuring her sister Reena Roy.[1]
The release of this film was delayed due to objections raised by M.F. Hussain's youngest son Owaisi. The film's producer Barkhaa Roy had taken the permission of Hussain's eldest son Shamshad earlier.[2]
