The film's title was spelt "Naag Padmani" in the Censor Board certificate and this spelling was also used in some of its promotional material. However, the title was spelt "Naag Padmini" in its opening credits as well as in some posters. The film opened with the disclaimer "The story of Naag Padmini is drawn from folklore. Its conception, plot and characters have no connection with our mythology".
Song
Din Hain Suhane Mastane Pyar Ke - The mukhda of this song appears to be based on a Punjabi folk song "Paar Chana De" based on the love story of Sohni and Mahiwal. "Paar Chana De" gained mainstream popularity in 2016, when it was performed on Coke Studio Pakistan by the Pakistani band Noori, in collaboration with singer Shilpa Rao. The same tune was also used for the theme music of the film's opening credits.[1]
