Trivia

    Album

  • Shaukat Dehlvi was credited as Nashad for the first time in this film. The film's director J. Nakshab had approached Naushad first for this film. When Naushad turned him down, a miffed Nakshab engaged Shaukat and credited him using a name that sounded very similar to Naushad's. Fortunately or unfortunately for Shaukat, the name Nashad stuck and to this day remains a source of confusion for many.
  • This was actress Nadira's first Hindi film in a lead role after her debut in "Aan" (1952). She got married to the film's producer-director Nakhshab Jarchavi around the time the film was released. Their marriage did not last long and they were divorced two years later. She worked with Nakhshab in another film after this, "Raftar" (1955).[1][2][3]

    Song

  • Kahta Hai Yeh Dil Chal Unse Mil (Fast) - Majrooh Sultanpuri repurposed Nakhshab Jarchvi's lyrics for this song's mukhda for the Hindi film song "Dil Kehta Hai Chal Unse Mil" ("Akele Hum Akele Tum", 1995). Other than the change from "Kehta hai yeh dil" to "Dil kehta hai", the two mukhdas were identical.[4]
