Trivia

    Album

  • This film may have been inspired by the French film "La Mariee Etait En Noir" (1968), which in turn was based on the English novel "The Bride Wore Black" (1940) by Cornell Woolrich. The Hindi film was remade in Telugu as "Devathalara Deevinchandi" (1977), in Tamil as "Neeya?" (1979) and in Kannada as "Nagini" (1991).
  • This was Raj Kumar Kohli's first hit film as a director. He adapted its plot many years later for the film "Jaani Dushman" (2002). The title of the 2002 film was taken from another film he had made in 1979.[1][2]
  • This was the last of the three films that featured brothers Sanjay and Feroz Khan on screen. The other two films were "Upaasna" (1971) and "Mela" (1971).[3][4]
  • The opening credits of this film claimed that it was actress Mumtaz's last film. This might have been true if a delayed film of hers - "Aaina" - had not released after this film, in 1977. Mumtaz took a long break after this film and attempted a comeback with what would be her last film - "Aandhiyan" (1990).[5][6]
  • This was the first film in which actor Sanjay Khan was credited with his surname.

    Song

  • Tere Sang Pyar Main Nahin Todna (Female) - This was one of the three Hindi film songs that featured in the Jim Carey film "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (2004). The other two songs were "Mera Man Tera Pyasa" ("Gambler", 1971) and "Wada Na Tod" ("Dil Tujhko Diya", 1987).[7][8]
  • Tere Sang Pyar Main Nahin Todna (Female) - The tune of this song was plagiarised by Shankar - Ganesh for the Tamil film song "Ore Jeevan Ondre Ullam" ("Neeya", 1979).[9]
