Trivia

    Album

  • The successful team behind this superhit film, director Harmesh Malhotra, actress Sridevi, music director Laxmikant - Pyarelal and lyricist Anand Bakshi, came together again twice - for "Nigahen: Nagina Part II" (1989), a spin-off of this film, and "Banjaran" (1991). However, they could not re-create the success of the hit film and both the spin-offs failed at the box office.[1][2]
  • This film came to Sridevi only after Jaya Prada had declined it. As it turned out, Sridevi's acting and dancing in the film won a lot of praise and her role in it went on to be considered among her best.

    Song

  • Main Teri Dushman Dushman Tu Mera - As with the original "been" theme for "Nagin" (1954), the "been" in this song was actually played on the clavioline. While the "been" in "Nagin" (1954) was played by Kalyanji, the "been" in this song was played by Arun Paudwal.[3][4]
  • Main Teri Dushman Dushman Tu Mera - The tune of the "been" solo in this song was originally used for the titles of the film "Sunehri Nagin" (1963). Kalyanji - Anandji were music directors for the 1963 film and the composers of this song, Laxmikant - Pyarelal, were assisting them in it.[5]
