Trivia
- Hrishikesh Mukherjee took a long break from films after directing this one. He returned a decade later with his last Hindi film "Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate" (1998).[1]
- Zeenat Aman was reported to be in a relationship with co-actor Frank Marino during the making of this film.
- This film was shot largely in the US and Canada. The film's Canadian producer of Indian origin, Bindu S. Jha, went on to pursue a political career and was elected a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba between 2003 and 2016.
- Hrishikesh Mukherjee's long-time associates, Amritanshu Jha and Jaywant Pathare, who had worked with him in many films, had acting roles in this film.
