Trivia

    Album

  • This film was launched with Madhubala and Kishore Kumar in leading roles. When Madhubala fell seriously ill during its making, the film got stalled for some time. This put filmmaker Shakti Samanta in a spot as he had accumulated a lot of debt and didn't have the financial means to settle it. Shammi Kapoor, who had worked with Shakti Samanta for "Singapore" (1960), stepped in and offered to work for him with payments deferred till the director had settled his debt. Shakti Samanta then made "China Town" (1962) with Shammi Kapoor. The film's commercial success helped Shakti Samanta clear his debt and led to a relationship with Shammi Kapoor which resulted in hit films like "Kashmir Ki Kali" (1964) and "An Evening In Paris" (1967). Work on this film was resumed after replacing Madhubala with Kalpana.[1][2][3][4][MR15]

    Song

  • Ho Gayi Shaam Dil Badnam - This was a rare song that was filmed on Kishore Kumar but sung by Manna Dey.
