Trivia

    Album

  • The film was dedicated to "The Blossoms In The Dust and The Red Rose". The former was probably a reference to the American biopic "Blossoms in the Dust" (1941) based on the real-life story of the social worker and children right's activist Edna Gladney. The latter was a metaphor for India's former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru who was an important off-screen character in the film. Nehru was known to wear a fresh red rose on his coat every day.
  • This was the only film that Saawan Kumar Tak produced but did not direct. He made his directorial debut a few years later with the film "Gomti Ke Kinare" (1972).[1]

    Song

  • Meri Aawaaz Suno - This song's tune may have been inspired by the song "Mere Mehboob Na Ja" ("Noor Mahal", 1965) composed by Jaani Babu Qawwal and sung by Suman Kalyanpur.[2][MR4]
  • Meri Aawaaz Suno - The song sequence used footage of Jawaharlal Nehru's funeral procession.
