Trivia

    Album

  • The film was certified in August 2015. It premiered at the Silk Road International Film Festival in September 2015. However, the film and its music were released in India only in April 2016. Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari remade the film in Tamil as "Amma Kanakku" (2016). The film was also remade in Malayalam as "Udaharanam Sujatha" (2017).
  • This was Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's directorial debut. She had conceived the idea for the film while working on a promo for the TV show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" at the ad agency Leo Burnett. Ashwiny quit the agency in 2013 to pursue filmmaking. She collaborated with her filmmaker husband Nitesh Tiwari and writers Neeraj Singh and Pranjal Choudhary on the film's script. Ashwiny made this film at around the same time her husband was making "Dangal" (2016).[1][2]
  • Riya Shukla made her acting debut in this film. She was around 17-years-old at the time of the film's making.
  • This was the debut Hindi film of music directors Rohan - Vinayak.
