- This was Prithviraj Kapoor's adaptation of his own Prithvi Theatres' play of the same name. It was the only film produced under the Prithvi Theatres banner.[MR1]
- This was the only Hindi film featuring Uzra Mumtaz, the lead actress of Prithvi Theatres' plays in the 1940s and 1950s. Uzra was the sister of the noted film artist Zohra Sehgal, who acted in this film as well. Uzra migrated to Pakistan in 1964 along with her husband Hameed Butt.
