Trivia

    Album

  • This was the first of the three films in which music directors Laxmikant - Pyarelal and lyricist Gulzar worked together. They went on to work together in the films "Gehrayee" (1980) and "Ghulami" (1985) after this.[1][2]
  • This was the directorial debut of Meraj who had worked in the past as Gulzar's assistant director.

    Song

  • Daakiya Daak Laya - The original audio records of this film credited Asha Bhosle for the female voice in this song. However, it appears that these spoken lines filmed on Aruna Irani were in fact actress Vandana Shastri's.
  • Daakiya Daak Laya - This song had three antaras in the film but in the audio records it had only the first two antaras.
  • Ladkhadane Do Mujhe - Lata Mangeshkar vocalised a couple of lines in the film version of this song. The version of the song in the audio release did not have her voice.
