Trivia

    Album

  • While the film's music records credited Manohar Khanna as the music director, its song booklet credited Manohar Khanna and Cecil Mendoza. Despite this, Manohar Khanna's daughter claimed that she had composed music for the film. However, it is believed that its music was in fact composed by Mohan Lal Aima. Aima was a prominent personality of Jammu & Kashmir and headed up Radio Kashmir Srinagar's music department from 1949 to 1964. His music for "Bombur ta Yemberzal", which is considered to be the first Kashmiri opera, is among his most prominent musical works. A song from the opera was adapted by Shankar - Ehsaan - Loy for a song in the film "Mission Kashmir" (2000). Aima also composed the music for the Kashmiri version of the bilingual film "Shair-E-Kashmir Mahjoor" (1972). His younger brother Omkar Aima was an actor and so was his son Satish Kaul, who became well-known for his work in both Punjabi and Hindi films.[1][2][3][MR1]
