Trivia

    Album

  • This was the debut film of actors Mahima Chaudhry and Apurva Agnihotri.
  • This film was adapted for the Telugu film "Pelli Kanuka" (1998).
  • Mahima Chaudhry's birth name was Ritu Chaudhary. Subhash Ghai gave her the screen name Mahima for this film.
  • Subhash Ghai had planned to make a war film called "Shikhar", starring Shah Rukh Khan and Jackie Shroff, after "Trimurti" (1995). When "Trimurti" flopped, Ghai decided to put "Shikhar" on hold and make a smaller film instead. The result was this film. Ghai never went back to "Shikhar" but he did end up using a song A.R. Rahman had recorded for it in his next film, "Taal" (1999) - "Ishq Bina Kya Jeena Yaaron".[1][2][3]
  • Subhash Ghai used a music director other than Laxmikant - Pyarelal for the first time after many years in this film. With the exception of "Vidhaata" (1982), for which the music was composed by Kalyanji - Anandji, every film directed by Subhash Ghai between 1979 and 1993 had music by Laxmikant - Pyarelal. His first film with the composer duo was "Gautam Govinda" (1979) and his last film with them was "Khalnayak" (1993).[4][5][6]

    Song

  • I Love My India - I - The tune of some portions of this song was lifted directly from the song "Dance Of Sarasvati" (1994) by the Japanese New Age artist Kitaro.[7]
