    Album

  • The film was based on a short story, "Do Bahanen", by the Rajasthani writer Charan Singh Pathik. Singh's story was itself inspired by the real story of the wives of his brothers. In 2020, Penguin Books published a book of the same title as the film featuring a translation of "Do Bahanen", the novella Vishal Bhardwaj had developed from it, and the screenplay of this film.[1][2]
  • The film was initially titled "Chhuriyaan". Vishal Bhardwaj changed the title since he felt that it might be confused with similar-sounding words like "chhodiyaan" or "chhoriyaan".[3]
  • This was Sanya Malhotra's first film in a lead role. It was also Radhika Madan's debut film.
