    Song

  • Des Mera - I - This film song was originally released in Indian Ocean's album "Jhini" (2003).[2]
  • Mehngai Daayan - The creators of this song, the Bhadwai Village Mandali, were part-time musicians who performed during festivals. A motley group of school teachers and farmers, they made music using basic instruments and traditional folk tunes.
  • Zindagi Se Darte Ho - This was the last song recorded by Asheem Chakravarty, who passed away in December 2009. Asheem was one of the founding members of the Indian Ocean band.
  • Chola Maati Ke Ram - This song was based on a Gond tribe tune originating in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh. Folk singer Rama Joshi had alleged that this song was plagiarised and had demanded compensation for the family of the song's lyricist, Gangaram Siwar (credited as Gangaram Sakhet in the song). The song's singer, Nageen Tanvir, had clarified that the copyright owners had already been compensated since the Habib Tanvir theatre group had bought the rights for the song.[3]
