Trivia

    Album

  • This film was in the making for many years and changed its title thrice - from "Anokha Pyar" to "Bandagi" to "Aankhon Aankhon Mein" to its eventual title. Hrishikesh Mukherjee had featured the shooting of one of the scenes of this film in an earlier film directed by him - "Guddi" (1971).[1][2]
  • The film's plot was very similar to that of the O.P. Ralhan film "Talash" (1969). While R.D. Burman was scoring the music for this film, his father S.D. Burman was the music director of "Talash" (1969). The junior Burman was very disturbed to find out about the similarities between the two films. S.D. Burman pacified him and the two agreed to separate themselves from each other's projects.[3][MR21]

    Song

  • Kahin Karti Hogi Woh Mera Intezaar - R.D. Burman developed the tune of this song's mukhda from the instrumental track "The Lonely Bull" composed by Sol Lake and recorded by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass.[4]
  • Tum Mujhse Roothe Ho - R.D. Burman developed the violin orchestra in the song's prelude to compose the mukhda of his song "Kya Hua Tera Wada" ("Hum Kisise Kum Naheen", 1977).[5]
