Trivia

    Album

  • This was writer Ali Raza's directorial debut. He would direct one more film after this, "Jaanwar" (1983).[1]
  • This was one of the rare Hindi films that featured songs by just one singer. All the songs in this film were Asha Bhosle solos.
  • This was the last time Asha Bhosle sang for O.P. Nayyar, ending a two-decade partnership that had started with the film "Chham Chhamaa Chham" (1952) and comprised of more than 300 songs. Perhaps because of his estrangement from Asha Bhosle, O.P. Nayyar took a long break after this film. In his next film as a music director, "Khoon Ka Badla Khoon" (1978), the female vocals he usually recorded in Asha Bhosle's voice were provided by Vani Jayaram.[2][3]

    Song

  • Chain Se Humko Kabhi Aapne Jeene Na Diya - Asha Bhosle won the Filmfare Award for this song but did not attend the function to receive the award due to her strained relationship with music director O.P. Nayyar at the time. This song was recorded after they had broken up a relationship that had lasted many years.
  • Chain Se Humko Kabhi Aapne Jeene Na Diya - This song was only part of the audio records. It was not included in the film.
