This was Sanjeev Kumar's last film. It was released 8 years after his death in 1985. The film's plot was modified after his death to make his character invisible after a certain point. His voice was dubbed by Sudesh Bhosle. Amitabh Bachchan, who provided commentary for the film, introduced and paid tribute to Sanjeev Kumar at the beginning and end of the film.
