Trivia

    Album

  • This film was financed by the razor blade brand Topaz. The film's opening credits led with the credit "Topaz the fastest growing blade in the world presents".
  • Vinod Mehra played the titular character of this film but only had a small role in it. The film's lead actor, Dharmendra, played an impostor of Mehra's character in the film.
  • This film took so long to complete - five years - and its plot was so convoluted that after director Brij had finished shooting it, nobody could figure out how to put the film together. The producers had then called in Hrishikesh Mukherjee to edit and salvage the film. He was credited prominently in the film's posters and publicity material.[1]

    Song

  • Ga Ga Ga Gaaye Ja Aur Muskuraaye Ja - This song bears some similarities with Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" and may be its adaptation.[2]
