Trivia

    Album

  • This film had trouble getting certified by CBFC. The CBFC had initially given the film an 'A' certificate but the Appellate Tribunal had overturned its ruling and given the film a 'U/A' certificate. It was alleged that the Congress government was blocking the film's release since Katrina Kaif's character in the film was believed to have been based on the then Congress President Sonia Gandhi.[1]
  • According to producer, director Prakash Jha, this film was inspired by the Mahabharata.
  • There were speculations of a fallout between Prakash Jha and Ajay Devgan after the release of this film. It was believed that Devgan, who had worked with Jha previously in "Dil Kya Kare" (1999), "Gangaajal" (2003), and "Apaharan" (2005), was unhappy with how his role had shaped up in the film. Devgan's absence in Jha's next film "Aarakshan" (2011) only fuelled these rumours. Jha dismissed the rumours and stated that Devgan was in "Aarakshan" (2011) in spirit. The rumours were finally put to rest when the two got together once again for the film "Satyagraha" (2013).[2][3][4][5][6]

    Song

  • Bheegi Si Bhaagi Si - This song may have been inspired by the song "Jauh Mimpiku" (2005) by the Indonesian band Peterpan.[7]
