Trivia

    Album

  • This was the first Shammi Kapoor film to be released. He had signed "Jeevan Jyoti" (1953) earlier but it was released only after this film.[1][MR15]
  • This was Shammi Kapoor's first film with Madhubala. He worked with her again in "Naqab" (1955) and "Boy Friend" (1961). Kapoor said later that he was smitten by Madhubala and had even proposed to her. However, the actress was involved with Dilip Kumar at the time and had turned him down. According to Shammi Kapoor, Madhubala would often tell him during the making of this film that he was too thin and needed to put on weight. However, eight years later, during the making of "Boy Friend" (1961), she told him that he had gotten "fat"![2][3][MR15]
